George-Madden-about-me

I now compose for both Spanish and English artists and for the last 20 years have been lucky enough to have had my music played constantly on major Spanish TV channels & mainstream radio.

I started out playing Guitar/Keyboards in bands from an early age writing and performing in local bands but soon became disillusioned by the lack of musical activity in the North of England where I was born so soon relocated to London, there I entered into the big and competitive world of the music business, I worked my way up as you did in those days starting out in the recording studios as tape operator eventually becoming a freelance Sound Engineer, although I enjoyed the work I always felt happiest composing and never being satisfied with the level of accomplishment I achieved playing in bands I decided to concentrate on song writing, I have now accumulated a catalogue of over 1000 songs.

In the late 80´s I opened my own commercial recording studio in South East London and  signed  several bands to my Indie Labels “Startrak Records” and “The Superior Music Company”.

After meeting and marrying a Spanish girl in London we decided to move to her hometown of Madrid Spain.

In the early 90´s I took up on the Spanish music scene, battling with the language I embarked upon a quest to establish myself as a Musician/Songwriter and Producer, and with the help of highly respected drummer “Angel Crespo” and some local pros I managed to continue working my way up the ladder.

in the early 90´s I teamed up again with old friend Terry Medhurst and his then writing partner “Al Parkes” and worked on various Spanish projects for the Management artist groups of “Jose Luis Gil” (ex President of EMI-Hispavox Spain) Ignacio Cubillas (Peto) of Diez Management (Heroes del Silencio, Fangoria, Alaska) and Jesus del Campo of Salamandra discos (Modestia Aparte, Michael Lowe) Robert Ramirez, Luis Sierra amongst others.
